Splicing Instructions

Rope splicing is a very strong method of fixing a loop eye or joining two ends together; as the rope is pulled tighter, the spliced strands become more and more squeezed and locked into place.

Incorporating standard features not found in other immersion suits. The only closed-cell neoprene suit with detachable gloves and slim legs with non-skid soles, allowing complete mobility and hands-free effectiveness to PERFORM EMERGENCY DUTIES WHILE WEARING THE SUIT.

  • The soft, watertight face seal provides a comfortable, snug fit and minimizes leakage into the suit.
  • The zipper bypasses a unique chin pocket and closes to the side of the face to prevent abrasion of the chin and lips as well as greatly improve wearing comfort and head mobility.
  • An adjustable spray shield protects the nose and mouth.
  • An across-the-shoulder inflatable head support pillow provides optimum flotation attitude, increased visibility and does not inhibit entry into life rafts or other rescue craft.
  • Tethered, removable gloves, stored in convenient arm pockets, leave hands free to operate a radio, launch life rafts, etc.
  • Glove pockets can also be used to carry survival items, such as flares, by leaving gloves loose.
  • Watertight wrist cuffs prevent water entry into the suit in case the wearer enters the water before putting on the gloves.
  • Slim, tapered legs with integral boots minimize trapped air and enable the wearer to easily climb stairs and ladders, etc.
  • Optional lifting harness speeds rescue by helicopter or deck crane.

Only the finest approved materials are used in the construction of this immersion suit. The 6.5mm closed-cell neoprene rubber is extremely flexible and resilient through a broad temperature range from -30C to 60C. Also, it is chemically treated to resist flame. Thermal protective qualities exceed the requirements of S.O.L.A.S. 74/83. This rubber is inherently buoyant so even if the suit is punctured or torn, the wearer will not sink. The heavy duty, precision zipper provides a watertight closure. This same zipper is used in underwater diving dry suits. Click here for information on how to clean your Immersion Suit.

All seams are triple glued and then stitched. Stress areas of the suit are reinforced with a specialized coating to provide even greater strength.

Standards for approval require that 1 suit out of every 100 produced be selected for testing by an independent laboratory. This ensures that the suits continually meet specific performance standards.

Many countries require approvals to ensure product compliance to a set of pre-determined quality standards. This immersion suit, while offering S.O.L.A.S. approval, also has Certificates of Approval from the following countries:

Australia Canada Denmark
Iceland Norway Spain
Sweden U.K. U.S.A.

CE Approval is pending
